Maybe we do, and to us it really isn't all that great

I think men DO understand how great love is. But there are 2 problems for them: (1) They get "little L Love" confused with "BIG L Love"; (2) And the main reason they get the 2 confused is that they don't get as many chances to experience "BIG L Love" as we girls do. Why is that? Because almost every girl has had a dozen heartfelt Big L Love experiences with guys, but most guys have not even had the chance for one Big L Love relationship. How can this be, you ask? It happens because, sadly, we girls tend to pass the same few "hot" guys around - from one of us to another - as "boyfriends", and a lot of guys get left out of the rotation. I see it happen all the time.......with me and my girlfriends just passing the same guys around, and not often enough going out and getting other guys into the circulation. Now that I've thought about it, I think I'll do it! (hehe)! There are a lot of great guys out there that we should be more open to. That way, there would be a LOT of guys who would find out "how great love is".

To say that men plural don't understand how great love is would be a stereotype. Through trial and error, I have kissed a few toads, hoping that they would turn out to be a prince. But unfortunately, that's not the reality. That's only a fairytale. Sometimes when you look for something it doesn't happen right away. For example, miners have to search for a very long time before they hit pay dirt. They usually get fools gold. Be patient your true love is out there, and he won't have to be convinced.

I don't think that men don't understand love, I think that it just takes a lot more for them to realize that is what they are feeling. They think that they just like the girl, but then something happens that makes them realize that they are actually in love. It takes a whole lot more for a guy to let his guard down and actually love somebody because they are so sensitive about their feelings, even though they are so big and bad! Women are strong enough to take heartbreak and still have enough trust in men to love again, men are not that strong, never have been!

I can't answer the question as written because it assumes men can't understand love. I'm a very happily married man and I'm expecting my first child in January. I not only understand love but I certainly understand how great it is.

Perhaps your experience with men has led you to believe we're incapable of understanding love, but I tell you that it is simply not the case.

some men are made to hide their emotions by their parents, it's ok when they're little, but, when they become men it's expected that they,, for some reason no longer have feelings!! strange but true. love is all there is in life, i know that but i'm a woman, material things count for zilch, life is sooooo short, if only the world realised this there would be no more wars.

Where did you ever get the idea that men don't appreciate love as much as women? Hello? We're just as human as they are, sometimes more so.
