I would recommend in-class and on-line classes. You have to be really disciplined for on-line courses. I usually take 2 or 3 in-class and 1 or 2 online per semester.

I have been taking online classes for about a year now and I love it. I love being able to do whatever I want when I want without the hassle of getting to school on time. At the college I go to which is Sullivan University, based in Louisville, Kentucky, you DO get the same education as you would if taking campus classes. You just have to basically teach yourself and discipline yourself in learning how to understand your own questions. I love it and will continue to do it until I graduate. But, I'm not sure about the veternary thing. I think something like that should be a hands-on kind of thing and you should have clinicals and stuff like that. Good luck to you though!! And and do what YOU want, not what everyone else wants.

I am also thinking about doing online college, but it's WAY expensive. My biggest thing is that employers may think it's sort of phony. I mean, how can I prove that it's ME doing the homework and not my smart neighbor? Wait. I don't have a smart neighbor. Anywhoo, you know what I'd recommend? Call a few of your local veterinarians and find out their professional opinion. Another idea to check into... most veterinarians don't require a degree to be a vet assistant. Show a lot of motivation when you go in and talk to them. Some states will even grant you a certification if you've been working as a vet tech for X amount of years. Good luck with your future career!

You should investigate whether or not a school is good or not on your own.
As for your other question, online schooling is great. It's cheaper because they don't have to pay rent. The difference is you have to be focused and actually do it. Also there isn't any socializing during the lecture or frat parties to go to. If all you want to do is waste money and party, then go to a traditional University. If you want to become a veterinary assistant, there's no reason to do it slower or pay more for it. Just be sure you can motivate yourself.

!t's great! If you can do a blogger, you can do on-line college. Actually I think it's better than "real" college, because every thought during class participations is pre-meditated, which facilitates learning better. If there is something hands-on, then they facilitate you in the real world, but the daily grind of school, is nicely substituted on-line. Be prepared for twice the reading and writing, if not triple! Compared to a conventional college, since EVERYTHING, including your Q&A during class participations must be written-out and read. Not to mention scrutinized.

good idea, if you are busy with kids or if you have a job but want a career, inline college is a great way to help you multitask.
