how to keep rabbits out of a garden?

does anyone know of a plant that deters rabbits from a vegetable garden? i heard about using dried blood, fox urine, and human hair (does this really work) and was wondering if there was something i could plant that would work.

You should plant carrots. Rabbits HATE carrots.

You could also try hanging a dead rabbit in your garden. That should deter some curious little hares.

I have seen plants at Walmart garden center that say (keyword say) they repel dogs & rabbits, not sure what they are or if they work.

If you can invest in some small animal fencing to keep them out that will be a good investment in the long run if you plan to keep your garden there for more than this year. Chicken wire is good but flimsy if you have deer nearby (they can jump pretty high so it would need to be over 7' high!)

We bought some chicken wire fencing and enclosed our vegetable garden to protect it, its 4 feet tall and so far nothing's gotten in the enclosure to eat anything.

I've heard that planting marigolds around the border will help.

Not sure about any plants, they will likely just avoid it and go for the others still... I've heard about diluting hot pepper sauce with water and spraying it on to keep rabbits and others away.

i have this same problem with rabbits, squrells and turtles, yesterday i planted merigolds around all my tomatoes, and places cloves of roasted garlic around the perimiter, supposedly they dislike the smell, this may work, well see!
