In the study of aging, many if not most, Gerontologists categorize middle age as beginning at age 25.
Youth: 0-25
Middle age: 25-50
Old age: 50-75
Oldest of the Old: 75+
So within this construct I and many of my friends are in the category of middle age. Most women I know who have been in healthy relationships, are stable and healthy mentally and physically. Those who have suffered at the hands of abuse do not do as well, no matter the age, depending on the level of the abuse and the amount and type of support received by the victim of abuse.
If you are inferring that middle age women who were sexually active in their early 20's have health problems at a higher rate than women who were less sexually active at that age, that could be true for those who do not seek regular medical exams. The fact remains, unprotected sex with multiple partners carries an increased risk of mortality at any age and gender. I would like to note that men do transfer diseases to women at a higher rate than women to men.

Well, I have had several sexual experiences with different men and I am now in my mid to late 30's, so I feel qualified to answer this question. By the way, I am by NO MEANS "middle-aged". Don't you know that 50 is the new 30???
Physically...I am glad I didn't settle for the first and only one I ever slept with...if I had I would have never known what great sex really is, or what an orgasm feels like.
Emotionally...I feel empowered that I have good solid life experience to base my opinions on. I don't feel bad or guilty or sinful or anything else. I count it all as part of the life experience that I needed to become the happy, well-adjusted, empowered (and married) woman that I am today.

Are you saying the middle aged women are having sex with younger men or are you saying the women were having sex when they were 30 and beyond and are now middle age? Sorry to answer aquestion with a ?, but it seems a little confusing the way you worded it. I believe younger men in their 30s can give an older gal a piece of heaven even if it doesn't last. If she looks good why not feel good. We're all adults. Sometimes it can work out that comparison dating will get you closer to what you are searching for, whether it be casual or something more lasting. If he's the right guy it will feel right.

I think they would beat you senseless for calling a 30-year old "middle-aged".
