I enjoyed both the book and the movie. I read the book first and found the movie to follow the book almost exactly. I found that to be very refreshing because usually when you read the book first the movie tends to stray away from the flow of the book. If I had to choose which i enjoyed more I would have to say the book.

The book was better, but they made an excellent movie out of the story.
When I read the book, I wondered if they ever did make a movie, who would play John Coffey? It's not like there were many 6'8" black actors around. I was just praying they wouldn't use Shaq. Then suddenly, Michael Clarke Duncan's career started taking off, and they had their man. Sure, he's only 6'5", but hey, that's close enough.

I like the movie better than the book. Tom Hanks did a wonderful job in that.

The book, by far, although they did a better than average job of translating it onto the screen. I think pretty much anything Tom Hanks touches is golden so you win either way, book or movie.

The book is better, the book is always better. But they did pretty good on the movie. I cry my eyes out everytime.
