There are different ways to get money for a place.

The best way to get a place without any money is to get one of those no money down types of rentals or homes. You live in one part of the place, and you rent the rest out to people that you know, letting them pay for the rent and everything else while you live for free. Remember, you control the entire rent and have the responsibility of paying first and last with their rent money.

Second, once you get settled in and are living off the rent that the tenants pay you , you can invest in yourself. This means taking what savings you have and putting them into a investment savings account and investing in the stock market to make money. You can do this with very little these days and it isn't rocket science to understand the stock market. A few good companies that can be researched are all available on the internet now and they are easy to get into to. This will start things off on a good note and if you do your work right, can be very beneficial for you .

YOu can apply for government assistance, and find a section 8 apartment to move into.

But the best thing you can do is set up a budget and see how much rent you can afford to pay, and start looking for places to rent that you can afford. You'll only know when you look at how much income you have and how much you spend on necessities like food, and utilities and car payments.

You are 26, it's about time you get out on your own. Your fiancee can either apply for unemployment, or short term disability if he is sick. There are a lot of single moms out there who make it work, you can do it too. And you'll be much happier when you are out of your parents house (and they have every right to charge you rent and a portion of the utilities)

1)Well first of all maybe you need to think of ways of how you could make more extra income...babysitting, walking dogs... mowing lawns, etc....basically odd jobs.
2) Maybe you could go to Income Assistance & ask them if they'd help you out. Maybe your bf could go on disability... depending on what the circumstance is.
3) Try going to Human Resources... maybe they can help too.
4) If anyone owes you money, collect it from them !!! Let them know your circumstance (if you think that you should tell them) & ask them to give you it asap.
5) Save up all your GST cheques & a portion of all of your pay cheques.
6)Whenever you buy something, save the change & put it in to a little bank, that way you're still saving a lil bit. Then when you've saved enough change you can put them in to rollers & take them to the bank & collect interest on it. It would be better to put it in to a savings acc't.
7) Take advantage of sales. Check out your flyers. Buy stuff if you need it, after all, they're on sale.
8) Go to yard sales/garage sales, salvation army, thrift stores, 2nd hand clothes to get stuff cheaper if you don't mind used goods.
9) When buying food, buy the No Name stuff or whatever is cheaper, esp if it's on sale. Don't buy junk or anything you don't need. Try not to buy luxuries.
10) Keep a log of what you spend your money on. That way you'll know if you're spending too much on a certain thing. For me, I'm trying not to spend too much on DVDs, cds or clothes.

Hope this helps !!! :) Take care & good luck !!!

Good luck, I live payday to payday, trying to better myself step by step..
Nothing is free, I have been looking for help and free money for years...
I have never collect a dime of welfare or any assistence either, always worked like a dog and took a paycut for a job that might let me go to college paid if I work for them for a year and sign a 7 year contract..
Good luck, if you find it, let me know where to get some myself..
