OK, I got an email from Comcast saying I should stop doing this and what they expect and all that stupid stuff. If I stop uploading in BitComet, can they still catch me? Can I do anything else that will help me download without them noticing?

Did they mention BitComet only? I would just use another p2p network

Since Comcast contacted you directly, they have your IP address in their system. You doing anything that involves illegal downloading will result in your account being terminated. If I were you, I'd switch your IP, or go to Optimum Online.

If you downloaded a "pirated" DVD and played it on your PC, it sent a code to the owners of the DVD that included your IP address. Sorry...you're BUSTED! Permanently now...unless you use a different PC.
