Sable, it's not okay. I pray that you are able to stay in school, and I hope that you don't quit going to school. Your life is going to change drastically when your babies are born (hopefully healthy). When young people get pregnant there are many problems...1) their bodies are not mature enough to carry a healthy baby and the babies are often preterm and/or have a disability; 2) the teenager drops out of school, or does not continue to college and starts (or continues) a life of poverty which will be continued by her children; 3) teenagers do not have the experience to raise a child and that child often becomes a behavior problem and/or the victim of abuse; 4) the teenage mother misses out on a major part of her life (no more parties, late movies, privacy, etc.)

To answer this question: Teenagers are full of hormones and don't beleive anything bad can happen to them. Until the parents take a big role in teaching morals and sex ed, we will continue to have this problem. The schools are doing all that they can, but until the parents back them up it won't make a difference!

I dont think it has to do with education they learn it in school in healt class or some even learn abot alot of it from parents or other family or friens... the problem is i think peer pressure sex anymore among alot of teenagers is just something u do too make ur bf or gf happy or look cool or maybe even they think thier in love...And then theres some who think o i cant get STDs or something like that cause of who i am or because they use pertection....Teenage pregnacy happens because they dont care to use any kind or protection against it and dont have the sense not to do it in the first place...So It has nothing to do with them not bein educated about this stuff its just they dont care that much they would rather have sex with out worryin bout the consenquences of thier actions...

im a teen and were educated properly.. but turn on the tv and look at the world around us... sex is everywhere.. and peer pressure is huge... the age always gets younger, because the "older cooler kids" are doing it. so i must do it too to be cool, its the same with drugs and drinking, i blame it all on society

Apparently we are not educating them properly. And teenager with triplets, it is NOT ok. Those babies are starting out at a disadvantage for which you will probably never be able to compensate.

If today's parents were stricter, there would be less of this. I talk to my teenage girls about it - they know what is expected of them.

Society today is based on sex, it is everywhere. Kids nowadays are concerned with being involved and fitting in, so they look around to see what everyone else is doing. The kids are being taught more about birth control than about abstinence. I was in a book store today with my husband looking for a journal to keep notes in. I picked up one and on the cover was a trampy dressed girl. One the backside of it, it said to unleash all your lusty desires on the inside pages. Isn't that sick?!

Those were all my concerns. That's why I waited till my twenties to done with these issues. You need a mature mentality to make the right decision or be prepared to deal with the consequences.

i'm educated up to my eyeballs, believe me. but my peers are up to their eyeballs in stupidity. most of them just start giggling when sex or anything related to sex is mentioned in health class. and it's their 2nd fricken year of highschool! they're livin in 4th grade!

minus arts and crafts, plus hormones
