G'day,

Wireless access point if a hardware where you can connect your computer/hardware thru wireless network. You have mentioned Netgear Wireless router, which I assume you have got it or considering buying it.

It is a router, which means that it can distribute one single internet connection into several computers, through wired or wireless method (as wireless access point). To have wireless connection, your computer need to have a wireless ethernet card, so it will be able to communicate with the wireless point.

Please make sure that you setup security encryption after you have successfully make an initial setup (you can browse the internet) since failure to do that will enable people to use your internet connection for free (and you are paying for the access download etc).

A wireless access point is where u can pick up Internet connections. like say u have a laptop and u can use those points to use the Internet, some businesses have them, and if Ur lucky, if u have friends or neighbors who use wireless Internet, u can steal from them if Ur close by, lol
