Yes. The correct way to write the number is 1,000 although 1000 is acceptable.

Yes
some people for numbers like x00, where as x >= 10 will call this x hundreds.
For ex:
1000 = 10 hundred
1100 = 11 hundred
1200 = 12 hundred
etc...
I do it all the time.
Since mathematically 1000 is 10 hundreds, 1100 is 11 hunreds, 1200 is 12 hundreds, etc...

Also, the 1,000 vs 1000 vs 1.000 vs 1 000 is just a matter of taste and convention. In the US, 1,000 is the most common. In continental Europe (at least in France), 1.000 is the more common (because 1,000 in Europe would be the same as writing 1.000 in the US).

Well the correct way to write it is 1,000 but if it comes up in a convo then u could just say ten hundred or one thousand it doesnt matter at all. its just the same as saying like twentyfive hundred as 2,500.

1,000 is the correct way to write it but yes. One thousand and ten hundred are equal. Ten hundred is just awkward to say, so nobody says it.
