My boyfriend spends all of his time cleaning and working on his car. I have told him so many times I need more of his time and attention, but he does not care. He acts like spending time with me is a burden. Why wont he spend time with me? What can I do to make him change? Please serious answers only.

Maybe he needs some time away from you and washes the car to do that. Perhaps there is something going on that isn't about you and your needs...

That's the problem with you women! What can I do to make him change? That's just it. If you want him to change.... go find another man.

You can't change a man. No matter how hard you try. He might stop something for a while, but he'll hate you for making him stop and sooner or later he will pick it back up again.

Men want thier time alone. Escpecially when we work long hours or hard hours. We need to unwind first, then when we clear our heads, we can give you the attention you need, long enough to get what we want. SEX. That's right I said it. SEX! All men want is sex. We go to work, to make money so we can have enough to buy some SEX. Yeah, we buy it. We get the flowers $ cha-ching, we buy the dinner $ cha-ching, we buy the nice car to get the attention from the ladies $ cha-ching, we buy the nice house or apartment so when we get the ladies they are comphortable and want to stay a while, $ cha-ching.

If you love him, you need to understand that what he's doing with his car is what he really enjoys. Would you want him to stop you from doing something you really enjoy? Come on! Would you really? How selfish is that?

So relax, and let him be him. If you love him, you love all of him. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Nope... mine is so not like that that i have to beg him to replace our siding because it is literally falling off the house! We own no boat, no pool, no ATV's... we have money, but he does not want to be the "Keeping up with the Jones'" type. Its cool, to a point. But I sure would like some damned siding!

Why don't you try to do something to surprise him. Tell him you have a surprise and you need him to dress up. Blindfold him and drive him all over the place to getr him lost. Then, take him somewhere special, a park, a restaruant, somewhere and make love to him. I took mine right to our garage. I told him I would be right back and came back and did things to him in the car and made him keep his blindfold on. Then I drove him to a restaruant and we ate dinner. He never forgot that.... That will wake him up a little.

ONLY if you are of age, that is.....

Why don't you try helping him clean and work on his car? If you show interest in what he likes, he might like it. Plus, you get to spend more time with him. There has to be some compromise. Likewise, have him spend time with you doing what you like to be balanced. Hope this helps.

Well you could offer to spend time with him and his car. If he never pays you any attention though you won't get him to change because he doesn't really care about you.

Don't spend all your time on someone who doesn't care. Use time on yourself and learn new hobbies or activities of your own.
