back in nov. of 1998 i was working for wal mart and they have a stock purchase program well any way i had quit in april of 99. and now i'm wondering if i still have the stock that i had purchsed. i don't know how to find out if it's still there. they quit sending me letters on it about 4 1/2 years ago.

You should still be receiving dividend reports at least annually. And you should receive copies of the annual report as well as proxy statements for the annual shareholder meeting and an invitation to the meeting itself.

You should have also received the actual shares themselves, or a statement in lieu of the shares if they are held in street name. Contact the broker to find out why you aren't getting your statements, reports, etc. If you've moved, that would explain it.

Bostonian and Jeff are ofcourse correct.
Just a thought...have you moved and neglected to fill out a change of address? It could be they can't find you. It could be lost property, if that is the case contact the Secretary of State for your state.

As an aside..Why the Hell would you ever work dor Wal-Mart?

Try contacting the transfer agent for Walmart stock. Its computershare, formerly equiserve.
