I know that they can't demand the money from you, expessialy if they haven't sent you a written notice. All they did was call me once. I talked to the lady and she said that I need to pay it in full by the 30th of june or all payments that I will make before then are VOID. I just got a call from the collection agency yesterday the 19th of june. The agency is JC Christion and the lady's name is Fran Kip or maybe Fran Kipper the # is 1-866-595-4557. Help Me Please. (I don't have any money and I have a family to support.)

I don't know how long they have had the account, I do know that it is for my Bank Of the West Mastercard Credit card, I haven't payed since July of last year, it used to be commercial Federal then. the lady is not polite at all and i understand that it's her job to collect the money from me but she won't work with me at all.

You have more rights than you may think. The fair debt collection act provides you with considerable protection. Go to the web site www.fair-debt-collection.com/index.html This site has the entire fair debt collection act on it. You can read what your rights are. Remember that debt collectors that harass you on the phone are losers in cubicles who couldn't even get a job at the local gas station. They try to act all important and impressive, but it is just an intimidation act. Seriously, go to that web site, it will help you a lot.

They can not call you at work- - this is considered harassment but you have to tell them not to call you there. there are actually laws on what times of the day they can call you as well. Try and come to some agreement with the card company. If you have more debt then you can handle you may want to go to an agency such as consumer credit counseling (a few of my friends went there with great results and it was really cheap or free in at least one case). Anyway, this govenment agency will work with you and then to lower or get rid of the interest payments. The off side is you have to attend budgeting classes for awhile. Once you are one some kind of plan, stick to it. The longer you put off talking to someone and ignoring it, the worse they get to deal with. I had a professor in college that said as long as you send your creditors $5 that they have to put that you are paying the debt on your credit report and can not call you (now, that was years ago and so many of the laws have changed but maybe you could look into the legality of something like that).

The next time they call say to them cease and desist what this does is takes away the rights of the credit agency to call you again. Also if they mail things to you the first time you will probably open the letter not knowing who is wrighting to you but after that every letter you get do not open them and wright return to sender on the envelope and put it in public mailbox eventually the collection agency will give up and go away, this only works if the bill is unsecured,if there is collatarael then the entity on the other side of the unpaid bill will sieze the property and or colaterael.

First off, don't panic....Just think of them as "Guido, the loan shark schmucks". No one can "void" previous payments....Though I hope you have documentation to prove all past payments.
Next, what kind of original debt is this? who is the original creditor? How long have you been delinquent? How long has the collection agency had your account?
Start a file, note the date and time and substance of each call, including what you tell them.
Until I know what kind of debt this is, I'm not sure how to direct your resolution steps. In the meantime, every time they call, just say, "I'm sending you $5 this month, and thank you for calling."
Lastly, if you have NOT paid on this debt or made any promises to do so for a specific period of time, your legal clock is running. That means after a finite period of years passes, you are not legally responsible to pay - each state is different. But if you do promise them something, that starts the clock all over again.
So don't let them yell at you, just say thank you for calling and hang up.

if you owe the money then they have a right to try to collect it, what you can do try to work out a payment plan with them threaten to file bankruptcy if they give you a hard time. if you don't care about your credit ( if you all ready have bad credit) then simply don't pay it
you can write the collection agency a letter telling them not to contact you anymore , then legally they can not call you, if its a large amount of money they can and will sue you and garnish your wages, if that happens you might have to file bankruptcy. if its a item such as a car they can repo it , so you might have to hide it,

Offer them $1 a week, or tell them you can go bankrupt.

We live in America. We don't have rights anymore. We do what "they" tell us is best for us.
