How many of you agree with the fact that the Pentagon lists homosexuality as a "disorder"?

Given that medically homosexuality hasn't been counted as a disorder since 1972 -- and hundreds of studies have shown it is not a disorder -- I pity the Pentagon, but they have to justify the policy that we have of not allowing out-gays to serve their country. That becomes increasingly difficult as very close to all of our allies have allowed military service by homosexuals for decades now.
Unfortunately for the Pentagon, declaring something to be factual when you are not in agreement with any of the science does not make it factual -- it just makes you look stupid.

Disagree. Homosexuality hasn't been considered a mental disorder by any professionals since the 1970's.

It seems to me the Pentagon has a lot more important things to deal with these days than one's sexual preferences.

Disorder my eye... Homosexuality is a natrual occurence and does not cause anyone any harm. I am SOOOO glad I'm Canadian - and that it's Gay Pride Week! Vive la difference.

There are lots of things that are said to be "disorders" that are really just differences, like GLBTQ and ADHD. It will take time to reseach the reseach, but sooner or later people will figure it out.
