Im an administrative assisstant I have about the same work schedule I have worked here for almost 3 years. I make about $12 an hour. Have u been at that job for over a year? You should request a raise, they will probly give it to you, they dont want to lose you.

That's pretty much the going rate here in the mid-west. In fact, $9.25 is on the top end for someone with a year's experience. Most administrative assistant jobs here start at about $8 an hour.
Don't look for devotion to a company to get your pay raised! It's an employer's market out there now and if you think you can't be replace, think again, no matter how devoted you are! Cold, hard fact of the workplace.

Salaries are based on many factors; certainly skill levels, education levels, experience, general knowledge and personalities factor into the pay scale. Where you live is important when calculating pay rates. Jobs in Big Cities pay more than those that are not. Administrative Assistant to who? and for what Company. If you are an Admin to Bill Gates I guarantee you would be making more the $9.00 an hour.Admin Assistant is a general title. Job Descriptions are necessary along with location of job.

Im an administrative assistant. My starting hourly rate was 16 for the first 90 days now it 21 an hour. Maybe you should evaluate your everyday tasks. Are there deadlines. Do you put a lot into the company? My company is small and we each have big roles. They dnt want to start over looking for someone new so they pay for it to be your career. You just need a new job.

It depends on your location. I make the same as the customer service people in my office ( they make .25 more) but the deal with alot of headaches. It really depends on your job and if you have bonuses. I get a cell phone and pay only 1.00 a months so that is almost another .50 a hour I am saving and what about your health benifits and such. Does the higher paid coworks get stuck working swing shifts or worse hours

It depends on who you are assistant to, one person or a staff. What are your skills and duties. How efficient are you ? Is this
your first job or have you had other jobs .Did you have a
probation period ? Have you been evaluated from your superior ?
When is your next evaluation? When it is slow can you help
someone else ? Do you offer to help others?
Next evaluation or meeting with your supervisor , Bring up your
good qualities and skills and see what advancements or raises
are in your future with this company. Then go from there depending on the answers. Good Luck

Many factors contribute. Your experience, skill level, type of company, and region make a big difference. There is a big difference between the pay scale in Florida and Michigan.
Florida is much better.
