That is a very common scam attempted through spam, click the "report spam" button and forget about it.

Those are (which you probably already have figured out) scams. It can't be said enough: Never, EVER, give out personal information or transfer money for "handling costs" or whatever they call those hidden fees to people claiming to entrust you with huge sums of money. Newest such scams seems to be emails "randomly" finding your email in a lottery winning, I get at least 10 such a day. Thanks to Yahoo!'s Spam Guard, most scam emails go directly into my bulk folder.

There isn't much you can do about it. They're able to send these scam emails with impunity, and there isn't any viable way to stop them from sending them other than reporting them as spam. For Yahoo, you can report it as spam in your inbox, decreasing those emails for the future - I certainly do.

DONT DO ANYTHING THEY ASK!! Just Spam the emails. I work at a bank and we get people asking about this all the time. They are from Nigeria and other places. What they will do is send you money out of nowhere and the check will be bad. Or the will send you money, and ask you to send money back in certified funds and then what happens is you are out whatever the check was worth because the original money they sent was not good. Just ignore anything suspicious!!!! You don't want to be one of those people that become a victim of these international scams!!!!!

And if you are greedy enough (and that is the only requirement) to answer them then by all means give them your bank acc. #.

Basically they tell you it is illegal to start with. They want you to smuggle money that has been stolen, misappropriated or embezzled. Anyone who would go along with such a scheme with foreknowledge that the money was stolen from some of the poorest people on the planet deserve whatever they get.

If there were as many millions of dollars in holdings of dead crooked government officials in Nigeria as there are emails sent claiming there are Nigeria would be the richest country in the universe.

What ever you do you do not answer that email. Just hit the spam button.

Thing is they will say deposit this check for x amount of dollars and then money order us x amount back for ya da ya da reason. Well once there check comes back to your bank as no funds your bank takes that away from you then your screwed big time cause you'll be out that money and the money you sent them.

Just have a good laugh at that email and then spam it.

Yes, it is a scam and it's been going on for years. They will clean out your bank account and use your credit if you give them any info. Forward their emails and report them to scams@fraudwatchinternational.com

I've just answered a similar question. Report it as spam to your email provider, delete it and carry on about your day.....

It is SPAM. They will get your details then hack into your bank account to get your money. Or steal your identity. Report it to your email provider, then DELETE.
