The security light shows that there is a problem with the anti theft system. A quick check with a code reader will help narrow down the problem. It could be almost anything from the key to the computer. GM used a fairly complicated anti theft system in the newer cars (after 97).

Sounds like you have a security key. Your transponder chip in your key probably got knocked out by a large magnetic pulse. You can get a replacement at the dealership for around 20 bucks as long as you have proof of ownership. If you have a spare key, try that.

diagnosis: is what you need my friend. it could be a single problem with multiple symptoms. a computer fault signal problem could be the answer.no signal, no fuel. no gas would do the same. the relay (power)for the fuel pump seems to be working as you hear it but the pump itself could be failing. you could also have a fuel filter issue from the get go. diagnosis by a professional is recommended.. sorry!!!!!

You could have a clogged fuel filter, or perhaps your pump isn't delivering enough pressure to properly run the injectors.

It's a security issue.
Do you have a Mobil Speedpass? Those things are notorious for screwing up the key's security programming.

This happened to me. The cars' security system must have drained your battery power so the car won't start. I had my security system taken out of my car because of this.
