He wanted this war before he even became president. Check out the article in July's Vanity Fair.
Why?
- Wars make presidents look good (usually).
- Oil, of course.
- His long-term agenda is (or was) to take over the entire Middle East.
- To outshine daddy.

Bush is a brainless wonder (video released of his meetings during Katrina says it all). The guy wanted to be baseball comissioner for god sake. He's come to see himself as everything from messiah (absolutely no joke here - listen to what he's said about saving the country...planet... etc.) to warriar (the only standing President to ever dress in a military uniform).
Him and his cronies are really a disaster to this country. Financially they are ruining us. Another 1/2 TRILLION dollars for the war in Iraq has been allocated. How much more until we are totally owned by the Chinese and other foreign countries. Oh yeah...too late.
I feel sorry for who ever follows Bush since they will either continue the end of America as a great country or have to pick up all the pieces. We are becoming a poor country financially, in terms of security, in terms of freedom, and in most other ways.
The tide has to be turned because our national security is not being protected it is being destroyed. The war in Iraq has caused us to have our attentions split during very dangerous times. Now Iran and North Korea are hot issues. We cannot even afford the war in Iraq and now we have to deal with these places.
There was so much good will and opportunity at various times during the Bush administration...All squandered. But, it's been great for the pocketbooks of Cheney, defense contractors, Rumsfeld (who's made millions from the bird flu scares as well as with the war - see: http://www.mercola.com/2006/apr/4/donald_rumsfeld_rakes_in_5_million_for_tamiflu.htm)
Is this the best the US can do? Take away our citizens rights, be hated around the globe, be the main contributor to environmental destruction, expand war and hate, undermine international security, destroy our own economy and the worlds vision of freedom?
Bottom line .... Hell yeah George started the war with all the blood of the Iraqi people and American soldiers who have died on his and his neo conservative buddies hands.
History will show this as the most destructive President in the history of this country.

I often look at the Iraq war beginning with the following more "localized" analogy: Imagine in your own neighborhood, Uncle Sam is walking down the street and a shot rings out behind him and he's bleeding on the leg. He didn't see who fired the shot, but he turns around and sees Johnny Iraq standing 50 feet away. Uncle Sam has had trouble with Iraq before and they don't get along. So Uncle Sam draws his cannon and shoots at Iraq, but but doesn't kill him. For three years Sam and Johnny Iraq have been beating each other up and stomping on each other, while another guy, Alvin Queda - the one who actually fired the shot - wasn't discovered as the perpetrator until Sam and Iraq were already deeply in conflict and claiming publically that the other is the devil's disciple. As Sam and Alvin continue to beat on each other, Alvin steps in and starts boot kicking Sam too. Now Sam has two foes to beat, and while all this is going on, Ken Korea and Raven Iran are getting some ideas of their own that when Sam is properly distracted, they might take some shots at him too.

I've got my own opinions about how Bu$h stood to profit from the war, but really I'm more curious about something else.
Did all those Viagra commercials make Bob Dole want to dress up like Catwoman & pretend he's a lesbian for his avatar on Yahoo! Answers?
Now I think I've seen it all!

Stop with the conspiracy theories please. For whatever reason, even if it was to avenge for his father, he thought 9-11 was a good reason to attack Iraq (WMD's) but there are no WMD's, and we have Saddam, and the person responsible for it all is still above sand, plotting on the U.S. So the real question is why are the troops still there?
