Runes are not bones! they should be made of wood... they are best when carved in the bark of trees whose branches lean to the east (Sigdrifumal)
Eliphas Levi had correlated the 22 major arcana of the tarot to the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and the 24 runes of the elder futhark are the old Norse alphabet
the 8 trigrams of the I Ching and the 64 hexagrams, don't seem to "fit" the alphabet code, so i guess the fact that they are all ancient (or at least over a 500 yrs old in the case of the tarot) and have been brutally twisted by the advent of the "new age" is probably the right answer...

The Runes and the Egyptian Cartouche are the same. If you do a spread with the cards, you can use the mate in the Runes. As far as I know these are the only ones that correspond with each other.
The I ching is the oriental reading that corresponds to what is used for a reading when a child is born. On the exact time that the child is born, a full and complete reading can be done for the child from birth to death. Also if a reading is done right one can get almost the exact time the incident will be taking place or the question answered.

My sister is a Wick-en, She uses both to tell ones future or answer a question ask by a client. Runes are bones--- Tarot are cards, and much more reliable. HOW ever if there is a client that needs some serious question resolved! ! she will use her Runes made from dog bones. THIS IS NOTHING TO BE dealt with from folks that do not know what they are doing!!!

They both let you know what is going on in your life, all thou runes are a bit more to the point about answering the questions. I Ching
has a more mystical side to it but it too will give you the right answers. 90% of anything is believing

Tarrot is not fun. There are a million different ways to involve yourself. I've found the easiest is to just do past present and future. I practiced the art of runes before and didn't have very satisfying results they are too vague.

All three :
a) are ancient and primitive forms of foretelling the future
b) are based on the precept that fate can be discerned using small, chance events,
b) have been hijacked and trivialized by modern, New Age adherents.
