So, since I'm gay, and apparently that means I'm mentally handicapped...Do I get to use those freakin' awesome parking spaces that are so close to the entrance of most stores? Like walmart. Damn, parking sucks there. I could so use this on them. Eee! I'm excited!
It really is a bunch of BS, and goes to show how anti-gay our military really is. Next thing you know, they'll say it's a contagious mental disease, and they'll say they don't want all of the army turning gay, having sex instead of fighting, and leaving all their families back home. Ah well. At least I win in the end, with my awesome parking spaces.

Actually, I think that in its own way it makes things better for gays in the military. Think about it. Under previous policies, homosexuality was treated like a minor crime and homosexuals were dismissed from service with less than honorable discharges. Now the military is saying that homosexuality is a disease. Since being gay is a disease, then the military really can't punish it any longer. The military must now provide "medical care" and other forms of assistance. If a gay person is dismissed from the military, it will be because he is ill - which means he will be entitled to a pension.

Because they read the American Psychiatric Associations Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, in whatever edition it's currently in, and they diagnosed it as a Mental Disorder. Be sure you are aware of whether your source knows the difference between a "mental disease" and a "mental disorder". That's a very crucial issue here. The first does not translate into the second. Either way, I'm in complete agreement with the Pentagon. God Bless you.
