no, but if your in doubt just change the names before you tell the story. its still funny that way, all that matters is you know who your talking about... and the smart ones will catch on.

Well if it was started as gossip, then you are repeating gossip. Even if it is fact, if it is said behind someones back or to hurt them it is considered gossip.

To gossip means to habitually spread intimate or private rumors or facts. So yes is the answer.

i would define gossip as chatter involving trivial social issues, usually not in the presence of the person or people being talked about.
