If Miami wins the title this year, he may retire this year along with Alonzo Mourning, especially since Dwayne Wade has shown he's ready to be the leader of the team. If Dallas comes back and wins the series, Shaq might come back for one last season, but probably will let Wade have more of a leadership role and "pass the torch" onto him, so to speak.

One thing's for sure: Wade might not be the player that Kobe Bryant is, but Wade's been smart enough to let Shaq be the man and it's helped propel the young superstar into a role that could one day surpass Kobe in the NBA.

Depending on Game 6 of the Finals:

Heat win: Shaq plays one more season and rides off into the sunset.

Heat loss: Shaq plays at least three more seasons because Dallas will probably win the NBA title. Also, the Miami bench would be in question which could reduce his career even further.
