Cruithne is a near Earth asteroid. As it is only 5km in diameter and because of its eccentric orbit it would never be considered worthwhile to colonize or even mine. In the year 2292 Cruithne will be only 12.5 million km from Earth. Cruithne will never be considered for anything other than sending an unmanned probe to it, and bringing back rock samples so we can learn more about how our solar system was formed.
