Listen in to Irish radio online and get the authentic accent.
RTE Radio 1 has plenty of discussion programs and Newstalk 106 is just as it says; talking about the news.

Is there no Irish people around where you live that you could listen to. Most of them sites are done by american people impersonating the Irish accent, and they are so off, its unbelievable. Or rent out a film that was made in Ireland using Irish actors, you should get a list of these off Google. Do not copy the Irish accent that Tom Cruise or Nicole Kidman use in Far and Away, Brad Pitt in Snatch or Harrison Ford in the Jackal, these are rubbish.

Americans are genetically unable to do an Irish accent.
But you can listen to Irish radio on the internet.
If you don't know how don't go for the audition.
if you are only joking about "next Sunday"
there is a brilliant film just released
that has totally Irish accents.
It's called "The Wind That Shakes The Barley"
It has just won the Cannes Film festival top award.
Google the title!

Yes, go with Irish made documentaries moreso than films... and bear in mind that we have three very different accents (amongst others!)... for a general accent pronounce 't' like 'sh'- ie. eleviate = eleviashe... well, that how I'm told I speak sometimes! Yeats is pretty good for the accent- he's not too overboard! His reading of The Lake Isle of Inishfree is commonly available on the internet...you can just google it I guess!

There is a set of tapes, with a book, that has various accents and dialects, that you can get from the library. Be careful what movies you imitate, try renting documentaries made in Ireland, or independent Irish films.

I don't know of any websites where you can type in text and hear it in an Irish accent, but this website will let you hear all sorts of accents (including Irish) and will give you a pretty good idea of it. Hopefully from there you'll be able to extrapolate on your own. http://accent.gmu.edu/
