i have been made fun of for so long. all of my friends have nice teeth and no gaps. why do i have to be the one with a agap... i mean when i meet someone its the first thing they look at. i wish i had big boobs at least cuz instead of starin at my teeth they would be starin at my BOOBS!! i have dreams i wake up and its gone then i really do wake up and there is my gap!!! GRR i already have flaws why cant i get any nice features!! its not fair. what options do i have to solve my problem???

I know what u mean I'm 13 with a gap.I so tired of hearing this joke"you so dumb you went to the GAP to get your gap fixed'! But I'm getting metal braces soon.I just thought you doesn't close the gap all the way but braces do!

I have a gap in my teeth and big boobs.. believe me the gap still gets notice though most people are like "hey you have something between your teeth" and of course it is the gap. As for what you can do about it talk it over with your dentist. Mine told me that I could cut the little piece of skin out from in between and it might help it grow back together. It is probably true since I had a fight with my brother and during it the skin got ripped there a little and my gap grew together somewhat.
I am normally the type of person that says don't change things about yourself, but you are truly unhappy about it. So definitely talk to your dentist about any suggestions. They would be the best person to ask.

Dee,don't be so hard on yourself! I know it's hard being 17 in the first place. The good thing is this.....Guys like all type of girls! believe me!!! they really do! I have always been an attractive girl..I am in my 40's now but,guys have chosen girls that were plain looking as you call it.men and guys call it "she's a natural girl" over me and my very pretty daughter. Believe me....A girl/woman with a gap in her tooth is very sexy.Honey you need to look at some of the stars!!!! Be proud of who you are!Fair maiden give it some time...Alot of the "pretty" girls I went to high school with are now not so pretty and the "wholesome" girls are babes now! cheer up! you got something they don't! I bet you have a great personality! also, If all else fails, and you are still unhappy then if you don't have enough funds,see if there is a university with a dental school.Sign up and they will fix your teeth.you can pay according to what you earn. the payments are minimal and on a sliding scale. Hope everything works out! sign up now! even if you don't have a job if you wish.But remember believe in yourself first.You don't owe any of the school kids anything.You probably won't see them again after you graduate.Those who made fun of you will have to meet their maker one day an give an account of what they did to you....... First things first baby girl. Self esteem does wonders for a person. When someone feels good about themselves and loves themselves truely it radiates through their pores. Working on that is the first step. At first glance my smile is nice. But I have what's called a "Deep Bite" ( a large overbite...mine is 10cm ) that's big. I'm 26 and too old for braces so i'm getting a dental insurance at my job and getting invisiline. i'll be wearing them for about a year and i'll have a better smile wich helps my confidence. It's best to get the insurance first though, cosmetic dentistry can be pretty expensive. As far as boobies go.....that's a decision that needs to be made by you alone. Concider the risks involved and make sure the benifits are worth it. I wish you the best little lady and remember, you're a special, unique and beautiful individual and if others can't see that....it's their loss not yours.

First of all. you do not need boobs to look great. If you just look in the mirror, you will see you r not perfect. Not one person is. You can get braces, if you want. Invisible or metal. They can also be glass. I have braces, and after 6 months, my teeth look great!!! Besides my teeth, I would not change a thing about myself.

Honey stop worrying about that, you are perfect the way you are. My friend Laure from France is one of the most beautiful girl I know of and guess what ?? She has gaps between her teeth too and it's what makes her irresistible ! I've always wanted to have gaps too but my teeth don't :( . Even my husband thinks gaps between the teeth is sexy and we are not the only ones trust me.
The ones that make fun of you are just jealous, don't pay attention to them I'm sure your smile is gorgeous.

I have a gap too but i'm not sure if that's what everyone looks at or not....i guess i got used to it. Really focus on something more positive like a good personality or try and get braces or
veneers<---those cost a lot though

At some point, a wonderful man will come into your life who likes plain looking girls with a gap in her teeth. It's part of your charm. It makes you unique! Why do you want to be like "everyone else"?
Work on your self image more than your looks and learn to like yourself better.

in some cultures a gap in your teeth signifies great wisdom - those people are chosen as the advisors for their community - it is a sign that you are able to speak the truth without others influencing you...
not really a solution to the gap but maybe a different outlook.
