He doesn't deserve much respect yet. other people in the business had to beat many of the greats to get the respect they have today.....Khali shouldn't get the respect of some others just because he beat the undertaker.........he needs to work hard and beat other superstars, if he beats the Big Show, then i will respect him more......but he just started out....he needs to work up to getting respect

Because he is a short term wrestler. He will not be in the WWE after July. He was just hired to give the Taker a "larger than life" opponent to keep him active while the brand extension (ECW) took place. Khali is a very stiff worker, who in fact killed a fellow wrestler (accidentally) while practicing some moves. Take a picture, because he won't be around long..at least not with the WWE. Maybe TNA or a minor independent can find a spot for him. He is the 2000s version of the wrestler known as 911 from ECW. Just a gimmick with legs.

OK............... He is a heel (bad guy). He wrestles against faces (good guys). Normally heels don't get that much respect. & besides, he is new & if he stays with the WWE for 15 or 20 years he will ecentually become a face & get some respect, but as for now he is not etting any respect because he beat up The Undertaker & people like The Undertaker as a wrestler. If he had come & beat Mark Henry or some other big heel then he would gotten some respect.

It seems to be old hat for the WWE. They either bring in a huge guy, suddenly push a large (in size) lower card wrestler, or put a mask on a large (in size) wrestler who's last gimmick failed to wrestle the Undertaker in either the main event or at least high on the card. That guy will beat the 'taker once or twice, but will eventually lose to the undertaker at the pay per view. Afterwards, Vince will have nothing left to do with him and he will eventually dissapear or sink back down the card. Examples: Giant Gonzales, Kama Mustafa (aka the Godfather), Mable (aka Vicera), Kamala, The Executioner (aka Terry Gordy under a mask), The Sultan (Rikishi under a mask), and was intended with Mordecai.
The one exception to this untimely fate was Kane. Kane falls under these terms, bening he was a big guy whose past gimmicks failed (Issac Yankem D.D.S and the "Fake" Disel). So Vince put the big man under a mask. Much to my suprise at the time, Kane seemed to go over with the fans, and the charcter still exists to this day.... so much so, that we apparently have two Kanes now.
So, unless the Great Khali has a little luck on his side, expect him to just be another Giant Gonzalez.

Because he is a crappy wrestler that is known as a "Heat Vaccum" in the business. Its bad enough that WWE is pushing this walking piece of garbage at all, let alone you want this guy to be a Main Eventer? Please!! The Great Khali or whatever they call him doesn't sell tickets. The only reason he is getting any push at all is because of the sorry state of Smackdown.

if you watched any of takers big matches he lost he needed a big
man to beat him to reinvent himself yet again.
no disrespect to taker he boosts wwe rating when he comes back.
khali has my respect as an athlete not because he beat the undertaker.

khali doesn't have a wrestling move at all, the only thing he has is size and he just beats you down, the same as any giant can do to any jack.
