I don't care what the circumstances are or were of the situation between the 16 year old guy and the 14 year old girl. A GUY should NEVER raise his hand or even attempt to hit a girl, ever!!!!!!!! It's not right, period!!! There could be no reason for him to decide that hitting a girl was the correct course of action to take, no matter how mad he may have been or how mad she made him. It doesn't matter.....You never hit a woman if you are a man!!
Women can't beat up men and certainly when a Man hits a Woman...it hurts alot worse and does a lot more damage ( physically ) then if a Women hit a Man.
You can't compare the two. Men have to be able to control their anger and themselves when it comes to things of this nature. The fact that he is 16 and doing this strikes me odd as if he learned that from his dad, or something closely related to that ???? Whatever the situation that is a sign of a troubled young man who obviously needs some help psychologically.

I don't necessarily agree with that (because I'll fight a guy just as quick and easily as I'll fight a girl) but it's generally looked down. If the fourteen year old you're referring to is a guy, however, then there's just the issue of the sixteen year old hitting someone for no reason. That's wrong, but I'd just advise the fourteen year old to hit the gym and knock the ish out of him next time.
