Take up bicycle riding and get a summer job. The bicycle riding will be great for your tan and your "look" and the job will put some money in your pocket so that you can buy stuff and have fun. Save a good share of your money for college! That is where you will find the "inner you" and realize you aren't a loser after all.
Video games are a huge time waster and a poor way to hide from reality. If you aren't ready to meet reality head on... try reading in the park or going out to a movie. Mix with people even if you don't want to engage. It will help to keep you from becoming stale and self-absorbed.

First get a work permit from school second hit McDonalds, Jack In The Box, etc and see if they have anything. Do you like animals...dogs, cats, etc...start your own business taking care of pets while their owners are away. Pay them visits, walk them, play with them, and make sure they have food and water. Get along with younger kids...babysit; wash cars; mow lawns; clean pools; clean out the garage and do a yard sale for your parents for a piece of the take. Use your imagination.
