Get:
V. Guerrero OF
A. Kearns OF
J. Moyer SP
H. Ramirez SS
J. Varitek C

Give:
J. Bay OF
M. Holliday OF
J. Mauer C

My team is a pretty balanced team at every position and in giving those 3 players is giving away my top 3 so I am wondering if it's worth it plus its a keeper leage which raises guys like J. Mauers value.

You're getting Vlad, Kearns, and Varitek who are good. I'm not too familiar with Ramirez and Moyer. Vlad is better than Bay but Kearns isn't quite as good as Holliday. I would do it. Also fantasy baseball is only a year long so who cares about the young kids get the old guys who produce good numbers

No way!! First off, you are making an uneven trade receiving more then you are giving. So unless you already have the open spots, or have a couple scrubs on your bench, you will have to cut 2 players to accept that trade. Always make trades even up.

I will base my #'s on the basic Yahoo! league as I don't know what league you are playing in or how many stat categories.

When using Yahoo!, do not rank guys by the O-Rank column, but always use the Rank column. O-Rank figues in previous years numbers (i.e. Eric Gagne has an O-Rank of 88 but his Rank is 862; Jeremy Bonderman has an O-Rank of 116 but his Rank is 35; Gary Sheffield has O-Rank of 32, Rank of 447; the Rank #'s do a better job of constituting what they are doing this year.)

Here are the O-Rank/Rank for the players involved in this trade:
V. Guerrero: 2/61
Kearns: 91/104
Moyer: 268/175
H. Ramirez: 104/129 (slumping horrendously, his BA has dropped from .316 to .267 since beginning of month)
Varitek: 158/350

Bay: 7/10 (age 27)
Holliday: 41/22 (age 26)
Mauer: 51/155 (age 23)

Bay and Holliday are playing better then any of the 5 you would be receiving and Mauer is much MUCH better then Varitek with exponentially better upside. Especially with your league being a keeper league, no way in Hell would I make this trade. I would actually laugh at the person offering this trade.

This would be a terrible trade for you in your keeper league. Each of your three guys (Bay, Holliday, and Mauer) have huge potential. Vlad has seen his best years & Moyer is a has-been . Kearns and Varitek are just average players at best. Only Ramirez has big time potential.

Getting Vlad is always interesting. However, that's got to be what the other manager is banking on.

Without seeing the reason of your team, I'd say you're giving up a lot of young talent for Vlad & some marginal guys.

Ramirez will be a very nice player, but if you don't need a SS, who cares? Moyer has got to retire soon. Varitek is extremely overrated in fantasy circles (in my opinion). I don't think much of Austin Kearns either.

I think you're trading away 3 very valuables contributors for Vlad & Ramirez.

Ultimately, depends on your scoring.

You're trading 122 points in batting avg going from Mauer to Varitek. That's silly in my book.

Ramirez is in a slump right now, too soon to tell how he'll bounce back. Moyer is pitching way over his head but Kearns is solid and Guerrero is a stud.

Bay, Holliday very solid and Mauer is a stud...no way on this trade.

BTW...what league are you in so I can offer silly stuff and get you to actually consider it!?! LOL j.k. man good luck in your league.

I also have Jason Bay and Matt Holliday on my fantasy baseball team. Right now Matt Holliday is on FIRE. He has hit over .375 in the past month. You would be crazy to get rid of him. Jason Bay has 19 home runs too, which helps with power numbers. If you were to get those other players, you would also have to drop a few players from your team, making it not worth it.

Denifently do that. You are not only getting Vlad but also another good bat in Varitek and Kearns. Ramirez also will steal bases.

NO!!!! I had Bay last year, and wish I did again this year. I do have Holliday this year and he is red hot. Bay and Holliday are both young, so their value in keeper leagues is off the charts. Plus you would be getting two more players than you are getting, so you have to think about who you would release to create room on your roster.

no friggin way.......in a multi-player deal, the side that gets the best player is the side to be on. that would be bay. i'd even argue that for this year, holliday is even better than vlad! and mauer looks like a batting champ!

also, keep in mind, you'll have to dump guys to make room for the new players......do you have 2 guys you want lose?

Since it is a keeper league I would have liked to be the guy recieving Mauer even if I was getting Vlad.
