My dad hasn't ever ignored me. he was the one who gave me "the talk" he is the one who comes to all my football games and wrestling matches. Hes teaching me how to drive a stick shift and tractor. Teachin me how to fix stuff, change the oil on farm equip. And im about to turn 16. But my dad's father from what i understand ( he died when i was like 3) he wouldn't even wake up on christmas morning to open presents with them. Thats why i think my dad pays attentiion to me more.

If anything I think men start paying more attention to their own sons when they turn 13. At least to the kinds of things the boy says. I'm curious as to why you're asking. Do you have a 13 year old brother or is your own son 13?

I have no idea because I'm a girl but most kids start wondering off to be with friends around that age. It's not always the parents who do the ignoring.

my dad was always the quiet type; the big 1-3 made little difference
