He has nothing to be ashamed of. He quickly found his game and played extremely well. The loss cannot be dumped in his lap.

Jussi played remarkebly well for someone who hadn't played a game since well before the season ended. He played great and could not be faulted for the game 7 loss or series loss. He rallied the Oilers to what was almost a historic comeback but came up just short like so many other 8th seeded teams and teams that have gone down 3-1 before him.
Next season will indeed be interesting if the Oilers keep Roloson and Jussi can compete for the number 1 spot. I suspect that Roloson will retain his starting position

Jussi Markkanen is not a rookie; he is 31 years old. Check his stats - he's been with Edmonton for a few years now.
Besides that, he did very, very well in the finals against Carolina. He made some spectacular saves. His performance was definitely something to be proud of.

He played awesome. Couldn't ask for better.
I don't think he's a rookie. He was traded to Edmonton in 2004. Cam Ward from the Canes is a rookie.

Even as a Canes fan and a North Carolina native I have to give this boy major props. He played a great series, and for him to have stepped up and done so well throughout, I have to say that I thought he did a good job, but Carolina wouldn't be denied. This was our year. I would like to watch him and see if the Oilers keep him on in goal though...

Murkinen played a lot better than expected him to. He had some unbelievable saves and played like he was an NHL veteran. I think the goaltending for both sides in this series was great, and it made it really fun to watch both rookies carry their team.

He made a name for himself in this series. He helped keep the Oilers in the series, and almost led them to a great comeback. It'll be interesting to see who gets the starting gig in Edmonton next October when Roloson comes back from injury.

As an avid oilers fan, I was disappointed by the loss, but I felt that Markannen and all the team did us proud. It was good to have him after Rolie got hurt.
