In most cases, you do not have to pay back a grant with money, but you do have to file regular reports on how you are using the grant and adhere to any other regulations that they may have. If you are found to be in violation of the terms under which they gave you the grant, then you may have to pay the entire amount back.

That's what a grant is. But a grant is on the basis that you have to maintain a standard for you to continue getting grants. If you fall short, the grant get's yanked.

Stay on top of the game.

yep
I had a government grant for college and never had to pay it back. They just gave me cold hard cash and I got to spend it how ever I wanted. Of course, I was actually enrolled in classes, met the criteria, and the money reimbursed me for the tuition and fees I'd already paid out. Plus it provided me with living expenses and the costs for books and supplies.

yes that's what grants are, it's money given away for free to those who need it. if you're talking about school grants, most of the time if you don't pass your classes you must pay them back.
