Yes. I think he is strong in following his convictions. (in other words, he doesn't change his opinion just because the public changes their opinion). I'm not sure if I agree with everything he does. But I know he does the best he can.

I compare him with John Kerry. George Bush is way better, in my opinion. From what I've noticed (from the most recent presidential election year) John Kerry changed his position on the war several times. He even plagarised from another Democratic candidate's speech (I believe it was Howard Dean's speech). I think it's good to have a president that has one position. It's easier for me to trust in someone who doesn't change their opinion when the public changes opinions. Public opinions are changing all the time. To me, it just means that he's doing what he thinks is right instead of following the crowd.

If I were to compare Bush to other Democratic candidates, I don't know what my position would be. I've seen a few Democrats that I like but Democrats seem to choose, for candidates, the person I like least.

I like some policies. and I hate other's. There is no such thing as a perfect president. I am independant as well. If he could run again I don't think i would vote for him, but it depends on who ran against him. I vote by what issues are important to me and what the candidate thinks about those issues.

yes I think Bush is a good President. Unfortunately he took office during American's toughest times.

While I don't agree with him 100%, I think he's doing the best he can - in times like these.

I disagree with his stand on illegal immigration by turning his back on the border. However, I respect his position as president. We, as Americans, do not think twice about bad mouthing our leaders. This should not be. I know that some are devils.
