from a peer to peer site that your subscribe to illegal? I get loads of promotional emails to join these things but I want to stay within the law. They all look so glossy but are they legal? can anyone recommend a good site?

I'm not sure if your peer to peer site is legal or not, but I highly recommend iTunes. All you have to do is to download the interface, which doesn't take a lot of effort. They have a wide selection that is updated lightning speed, and it is as legal as it gets. It is typically 99 cents per song, and full albums vary. The music you download is not just for an iPod; it can also be downloaded onto an mp3 player, and burned to a CD. Try it! :D

No, not necessarily illegal.
I paid a small fee - £5? for a year's membership to 360share, a peer to peer site. I download for my mp3 player all the time and it's brilliant.

The Record Industry ***-ociation of America(RIAA) views anything p2p is illegal. The cheapest music download website is
