the suspension was not warranted. we are in the Finals, for my Lord's sake! those type of fouls happened on a regular in the not so distant past. i am a Shaq fan, but that was a bit much. i mean he did bust up Stack pretty good earlier in the series where he had to get stitches, so where was Shaq's suspension? Shaq and Stack understand the game, the real game, no easy buckets!! this league is going soft in a hurry. the flopping and whining makes this game hard to watch. i can go on, but the question was answered. two fingers

No, I don't think he should have been suspend. When players know they are going to be fouled, they trough a little extra fall or steps, or act like they are really hurt. Its just the way the game gos. On some fouls I think refs go by the fall rather than the play of the foul.
It's almost like through the whole playoffs and now the finals, the rules for somethings in the games have changed. I'm not just speaking on the mavericks, but all the teams that have competed. There have been a lot of flagrant fouls that resulted in suspension that didn't need to be or even regular fouls.

Well based on what has happened throught the playoffs, im not surprised. I believe there have been 3 other suspension during this time. Bell foul definetly had to be suspended wheather you like kobe or not. Terry: come on man he punched a guy in his most sacred spot, i would kick terry's azzif he tried the mess with me. Then you have james posey his foul was similar to stacks. both guys were blind sighted and hit pretty hard. Shaq is a big guy, but shaq was stumbling pretty hard, plus stack came across oneal's face. so im cool with the supension

In this day and age of Post-Artest Brawl Basketball.
Yes, The NBA has significantly changed in disciplining it's players rather then ten years ago, this would have never been considered a flagrant foul at all. or as harsh as a game suspension.

No, it was stupid, he shouldn't have been suspended.
**This is exactly what Shaq said, "My daughters tackle me harder when I come home," O'Neal said. "I'm one of the last players of the old school, and you know, you just have to take a hard foul like that and keep on moving. It actually felt pretty good to get hit like that. Thank you, Jerry. Appreciate it."**
~~!!Omg! Okay, how can that be called foul and a suspension. I mean, Shaqille O'Neal wasn't penalized for hitting Stackhouse hard enough in Game 1 that he opened a gash across the top of his nose that required three stitches to close!! Okay that's way tougher than having a hit that "is less painful than a tackle from his daughters." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The NBA is way off for suspending him!!
GO DALLAS MAVERICKS!!!

hell naw.. i'm all for the heat.. but stack being suspended was too much.. cmon now.. hard foul or not.. he was clearly going for the ball
plus it's the playoffs.. let them play hard..
if it was a guard that got fouled.. maybe.. but this is shaq we're talking about.. you have to go hard on him and make sure he doesn't get that basket

Yes he deserved the suspension because the league had time to review the tapes but the refs have to make a quick decision on the court they can't review the tapes.

No, I dont agree. It was a hard foul, but thats all it was, a hard foul. Its not like he swung at him or elbowed him in the face.... I didnt see any blood fly. So it was a harsh suspension
