As long as your doctor is fine with it, then it's ok. I didn't gain that much weight with my first, and after I had her, I was 10 pounds lighter then when I got pregnant. It was great!!

Every woman is different. Some put on more weight, some don't put on that much. As long as you are eating right and doing what you are supposed to be doing, you should be fine.

I would follow the pregnancy diet in "what to expect when your expecting". It's the best diet I have found that everyone can follow.

Don't worry about giving in to cravings. Most people say that you are eating for two anyway, well I tell people that really isn't the case and you need to be more diligent in your diet now then you ever were. But cravings are normal and sometimes it's something the body needs, so a little indulgence isn't going to hurt you. Just try to be consistant in your diet and make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins!!

I gained 17 pounds total when I was pregnant. A lot has to do with your starting weight. If you doctor is not concerned then do not worry to much. I am not sure how you are built but if you were slightly overweight to start, it is not a big deal if you do not gain the 25 pounds they say is average. Average means some gain more some gain less. Just think, it will be easier to take off afterwards

Everyone is different on their weight gain. You don't seem to be taking advantage of the idea that you can eat whatever you want now that you are eating for two. That's better than doing it. As long as you are eating properly and exercising moderately, no worries. I was 36 weeks and had only gained 28 pounds, my Dr made me change my diet so I would gain more. No worries. Just keep going to the doc! Take your prenatal vitamins and drink lots of water~

At my 32 week appointment I had gained 20 lbs already and before the pregnancy I was the right weight for my height. You are suppose to gain I THINK 25 to 35 lbs or in that area if you were your ideal weight before pregnancy. Are you eating enough or feeling to sick too??? I eat like a pig though and don't care. This is the only time in my life I can gain weight and it doesn't matter so enjoy it while you can :)

That should be good. They said you should gain 30 to 35lbs total. But not all women do so you should be fine. You should talk it over with your doctor.
