Great question! You are right. It's them who aren't that bright. You have to realize that most Americans or their parents have used drugs, so they're not all there.

It's hard to find an intelligent American.

Most of them are snobs who want to sway reality their way, and think that just by being Americans, they hold universal truth. How far they are from it! Most of them don't respond with facts, but with insults, because their capacity to reason and logic is diminished by drug use and complacency

I just laugh at them and let them be. American hegemony is coming to an end, and they will have to adjust their reality soon , which will be very painful for them.

Don't let the attack on your English composition bother you. We don't even want to get into statistics of the users' composition skills here. Most Americans have a failing history in academics as is evidenced by the posts and the US Dept of Education statistics bureau!

How about the user above me; "flont"? Punctuation Grade: "F"
(just a source...)

Yes, there are many academically grounded Americans; just don't look for them on this category. Start a "thread" in the Yahoo Forum category; you may find more reasonable thinkers there.

There are very intelligent Americans in this world. Just because someone answers a correct question doesn't necessary make them intelligent, it most likely means they have experienced it all before so of course they would have a good answer,

Pat, I concur.

Some of these people make me wonder what kind of future this country can possibly based on the extremely low caliber of the questions.

Speaking of intelligence, I had someone pegged wrong. I have frequently denounced Ann Coulter as a Little Miss Smarty Pants due to my impression of her on The O'Reilly Factor, where she answers in vitriolic spurts of bile and caustic sarcasm.

However, I just bought Ann's book. I was shocked. I figured it would be light, breezy summer reading, akin to Bernard Goldberg's book, "100 People Who Are Screwing Up America". Instead, I find myself having to read the same paragraphs two or three times just to understand some of her analogies.

Grammar may be incorrect. I even noticed a couple of syntatic errors, however that does not negate the question. I noticed many people here question the order in which his language skills take precedence. I will only say how many of you STUPID AMERICANS, can speak, let alone communicate in another language? You do however have the arrogance to mock him. What does that say about the American mentality?

There are intelligent people out there, but just like government, they aren't here. The truly intelligent people go other places to show their intelligence, and the truly intelligent don't go into government because they can make more money in the private sector.

There "are" intelligent people on this site. You just have to shuffle through until you find a question that is an honest, sincere, logical question. Just ignore the pathetic ones altogether.

Why are you assuming all the questions are from Americans? This site is gloriously international - I am from the UK. I know several Americans, all of whom I would describe as intelligent. Never generalize!!

Hello! I'm an American with IQ 150+
I can only speak for myself. There is always room for improvement.
-Only an idiot would make a vague accusation such as yours. By the way, last time I checked the Americans hold the most power and wealth. It wasn't just given to them; they earned it. Have a nice day! =)
