Absolutely not and I think it would be incredibly arrogant of us to think we are the only life in the entire universe, considering how many billions of planets, if not galaxies, there are. There are more that can sustain life.

There's an infinite number of galaxies out there and in some of those systems, there is life. In those systems with life, there's is a handful to about one or two that have intelligent life. In those few systems, there are about a few million who are truly intelligent. In those few million, there's about a few hundred thousand that reckon they shouldn't disturb us for the moment because we're too dangerous for contact as of now. In those few hundred thousand, there are thousands that think they should make contact to save us from ourselves. In those thousands, there are hundreds that are wondering how come Paris Hilton is so hot when clearly she's a git and are slowly planning to have us 'put out of our misery' for the sake of galactic peace and harmony.
Course, personally, I don't put much faith in such speculation, so let's just say the jury's out.

there is no way we are the only life form in the world. that would be sooooo egotistical of us to think that! I don't believe that all aliens are like the hollywood version of aliens, and i don't believe that any have ever visited us, but like you said, space is never ending, there's gotta be something else out there.

no, i don't believe that we are a rarity. i believe in 2 theories: one is that when the earth was formed organic material/debris landed on our planet and since it was floating around it should've landed on other planets as well. we have found sedementary rock with imprints on it on the face of mars. numbah 2 life originated under the extreme heat and pressure on our surface that can only happen under these circumstances.

Everything on our planet is perfectly balanced for life, clearly it has been designed for that purpose. I do believe that we are living on the only inhabitable planet in the Universe, unless the designer made another planet inhabitable.

absolutely not. how egocentric for us to think that we are the only ones. may be something similar to us somewhere. some may only have microscopic life, but no doubt there is something intelligent out there somewhere and way beyond our ability to discover. we may find a way some day.

I don't think so.We do not yet know the number of planets out there. You need to define what life is.
