The Apple OS can have multiple system folders. My Mac can have two OS's running at the same time. The control panel choses which ones will boot up. The Windows system is very unstable if you try to put more than one OS in the same partition. That is why they made it easy to partition the drive.
;-D Yes, I have a Mac, with OS 9, OS 9.2, and OS X 10.4.7 on one drive. I start with OS 9.2 and OS X both running. Some old apps like OS 9 and so I keep using the old system at the same time as OSX. I love my Marathon games!
