Wha? What corvettes are you refering to that dont hold their value? compare them to any other used car of about the same year, about the same mileage, they retain a much higher percentage of initial purchase price.
A huge engine is always a good thing....what do you drive a miata?

I don't know where you got your value info, but properly maintained, not-run-to-death Vettes not only hold value better than most sports vehicles, they can and do INCREASE over time. A 1963 Corvette that sold new for about 3 grand is worth anwhere from 30,000 up to $100,000 plus, depending on originality, condition and options. I'd say that was "holding it's value worth a crap". I could cite many other such examples.
Now that being said, all NEW cars will depreciate to a certain point...including Corvettes, but unlike many other vehicles, with Vettes the values begin to curve upwards again after a period of time, depending on the car, it's condition, mileage, and options. There are some good values right now in the 1974-1990 dated Vettes, as they have reached the bottom of their depreciation curve and have begun to increase.
Of course, if you run the car to death, a piece of junk is a piece of junk, 'Vette or not.
I'd suggest doing some research before making generalizations like that.

first of all, everyone needs to stop answering this guy's questions. he's obviously trying to make people mad and see how many answers he can get. second of all, you can say that about any car. a mercedes, is it anything more than a giant metal trash can with an engine? is a porsche anything but a metal box with an engine? yes, of course they are, but you can say that about any car. corvettes are awesome, their value does increase in time, and they are the best value in the sports car market today. they perform much better than their overpriced, underperforming competitors. have fun cruising in your 1982 mercury topaz.

YES. They are far more than that.
And the old ones do hold their value. Have you seen what the 60's Stingrays are going for at auction? They're selling for an asinine amount of money all across the board...because they're gorgeous. Does the phrase "Landmark American design" possibly ring a bell with you?
What is it with you and hating Corvettes? Didn't we have this discussion just yesterday?

Actually, rubbermaid garbage cans are a LOT sturdier! Ask any cop who's pulled a body from the wreckage of a 'vette that's scattered into a thousand splinters!

It could be done intentionally to make you jealous, to make you upset or suspecious. Just thing, why the panties must put on the front seat and not other thing else? Is he a crossdresser ? Is he having another g/f ? Is he trying to break up with U ?

No. It is not anything more than that. And, you are using the word value very loosely aren't you? As my hero John Wayne used to say. "I like the way you talk."
