Either have it cut out, cut it out yourself, or soak it in some hot water with Epsom salt...the epsom salt helps the pain and softens your toe so you can cut out the toenail

Soak infected toe in water as warm as you can stand it (don't burn yourself!) for 15 minutes, 4 times a day until it is better. After each soak, put an antibiotic ointment on it.
If toenail is just starting to ingrow, take a tiny piece of cotton, soak it in bactine & gently tuck it under the side of the nail with an orange stick. This will lift the nail up away from the skin.
Always cut your nails straight across to prevent ingrowing.
If a lot of pus, red streaks & pain - see a doctor.

After a warm bath (or warm foot-soaking), cut the corner of your nail with nail trimmer. Take tweezers and pull the nail down the side of the nail. It will hurt like the dickens! If you do not draw blood, you did not get it all.
Once out, put antibiotic cream (Neosporin) on it and wear white socks.
It will hurt for one or two days, then it is painless. After you pull it, it is a HUGE relief.
Oh, and don't feel bad....ingrown nails are genetic, not necessarily how you trim your nails!

Put Vick's vapor rub on it ( a big glob for 12 hrs at a time) for two days. This should make the area numb so you can cut it out your self. Next time be sure to cut straight.
