My boyfriend has a little brown ring around the shaft of his penis about half way back from the tip. When he gets an erection there is actually pubic hair on the shaft almost to the brown ring. Is this normal or does he just have more pubic hair on his penis than most men. I have never seen this before.

The brown ring is the scar from being circumcised and where the foreskin used to be attached to. If it is midway up the penis then he was circumcised pretty tight. In other words they cut off a LOT of foreskin. If it is this tight when he gets an erection, it pulls tight on the skin from the abdomen and pulling it up onto the shaft some.
Does he have any slack in his penis shaft when erect or is it stretched tight? If it is stretched tight then this is your answer. This is pretty common.

Is he circumsized? The brown ring sounds like a circumsizion scar.
Many women prefer men to shave their penis especially if there is hair on the shaft.
It could be that your boyfriends penis is still growing, in which case the shaft will become longer and will be more free from hair.
Hair usually is around the base of the penis and testicles - not so much on the shaft and definately not on the penis head.

He's normal.
The brown ring is probably a circumcision scar and he just seems to have more pubic hair than most. An ex of mine also had some pubic hair on his shaft.

It is not normal, it is digusting, pubic hair is only on the balls and the skin, not on the shaft!

I don't know what this is caused, but I have a good friend whose husband is the same way, my hubby is always making fun of him, but we would like to know too. Your boyfriend isn't the only one out there I guess!

maybe he just has weird hair growth or something. i have never seen that. but my boyfriend is black and the top of his penis is almost white why is that?
