No, in fact, I think that Earth needs to get rid of us because all we do is screw everything up. We've compromised the ozone layer, created massive amounts of waste that will probably never go away, poisoned water sources, killed off other animal species and nearly depleted fossil fuels.
If Earth were a creature, humans would be its cancer.

No because humans have a way of adapting. Who knows what the circumstances will be in a million years??
I do worry that we as humans will nuke ourselves to death WAY before the planet spontaneously combusts... and that is a very real possibility. I worry for my children and I'm working every day to "be the change I want to see in the world" (ghandi by the way).
Hopefully, we'll all be able to live together without killing eachother - but so far that hasn't been the rule.

The Earth was formed around 4.57 billion years ago. It'll be here long after humans have left to explore the far reaches of the galaxy. Then when the sun begins to go out it'll shift into a red giant and engulf mercury, venus, earth, mars, and probably jupiter.

Nope. With the leaps and bounds in technology, in a few million years, human kind will figure out an alternative if they have too. Or figure out the technology to fix what I'm breaking today. Meanwhile, I'm content to drive my hot rod cars, and use my smoke belching souped up diesel truck to tow my supercharged berkley jet drive powered boat to the lake on weekends. Life is good. Live it. Let the future sort itself out.

No. I certainly won't be alive in a few million years, and we are already working on technologies to make our supplies such as food to be more sustainable. We'll already be travelling all over the universe by that time anyway, so what does it matter?

in the first 20 years that human had nukes we almost killed each other... the earth may not be habitable, but humans wont be here.
Only cockroaches will live because they could survive nuclear war and the conditions that are after

...A few million years from now the sun could go out too. Should any of us care? No...even when people say "what about you children?" I say they will prolly be dead less than a hundred years after I am dead.
