The US team sux

Let's hope so. I mean, I think we can do it.

There's going to be a LOT of running, and a lot of deep passing and long balls. These two teams will field some speedy players and it will be a BLAST to watch.

Don't forget Michael Essien from Ghana is the highest paid transfer player ever. His team, Chelsea, paid 38 million Euros to get him to leave Ghana and play in Europe. He's a great, intelligent midfielder who sees the game unfold before stuff even happens.

The USA will need our Captain Claudio Reyna along with Landon Donovan to control the midfield. Our strikers and their defenders will be evenly matched and will expect to run at any moment of the 90+ minutes in the game. If we can control the ball, we can dictate when and who runs for the deep ball. The more we send players, the more tired their back line will get.

Yes: You will see the USA shoot more on Thursday.

Another thing in our favor is that our team has depth. Ghana can't sub-in defenders when we put fresh legs in at forward. We would scorch their second-tier fullbacks with our strikers, so expect their first-team to play the entire game. AND, expect those guys be winded after 90 minutes of windsprints.

We'll beat'em.

As far as Italy vs. Czech Republic...let me ask you this: if you were team Italy and a win in that game would mean you avoid Brazil in the second round game, would you play to win it?

Italy 3:0 over CZE
USA 3:1 over Ghana.

Yes and yes. It is a must win for USA and they have a deep enough bench to overcome not having Pope and Mastroeni. Italy will win because they are Italy and want to win the group.
