Well in one job you convince people to give you money through guilt

In the other job you convince people to give you money through fear.

Neither of the two are very well liked and neither of the two pays very well. I'd consider picking something else.

Both involve sales... one is selling directly (life insurance) and the other is convincing people to give you money.

I suggest fundraising is more rewarding spiritually because you are doing a good cause; however, insurance will most likely be more financially rewarding.

Thus, you have a difficult choice to make. Good luck.

Fundraiser. You will have a steady income and be able to do good things for people. As an insurance salesman, you will spend your life trying to get people to buy stuff they neither want nor need.

Neither. Both require a lot of asking people for money. Unless you like that type of life then go for it. Fundraisers can help others.

both are rough. fundraiser is essentially a telemarketer. if you like cold calling people and getting their money for stuff. good luck. insurance, NO ONE WANTS IT. it's only there bcuz we have to have it. go to an insurance company that offers more than just insurance like AIG or American General. You'll at least have other things to sell than insurance.
