It's good. But it still doesn't answer the question as well. I think, based on the Big Bang Theory, that the swirling mass of material exploded in which created mother Earth, creating more materials. Materials like oxygen, metals, and bacteria. Bacteria is the foundation of us. Our skin made up of both good and bad bacteria, thus foming our skin, nails, etc. There are different kinds of bacteria that live on us, for the sake of good. Over time, the bacteria must have evolved many organisms. When the bacteria had young, they were either like humans or like birds, (had their young or gave live birth) . In order for an egg to survive, it would need something to keep it warm. Bacteria can survive as an adult, and from the matter, as stated earlier, was created all it's own. So the bacteria came before the bacteria's egg.
Concluding this now, neither the chicken nor the egg came first. Bacteria evolved into a chicken, thus creating an egg. So if you ask if the chicken or the egg came from bacteria which formed into a chicken from an egg. So the egg, theoretically, came first because it had something to keep it warm, (the bacteria). You are correct. It's all mix breeding.

So who made the dinosaur egg. First there was water after the world cooled, and the light which was radiation (which did come from God dont panic anyone ) made life. But what was in the water that the radiation could create life from, if you want to trip over things that aren't answerable right at the moment that is the chicken and egg question put in a little more of an accurate context.

actually the first question i answers to through this site was "chicken or egg" sence then my explantaion got better so here it is.
if u believe in creationism (god made us) then that's gross cause that means we are all brother and sister. but if u believe the "goo" theory that says all live on earth originates from a mass of single cell organisms or u may also believe the big bang theory, and if u see stars collapsing, spreading its elements around and those elements binding to create life, then it does seem similar to eggs hatching. and if u go back only as far as the first species of chicken then the chicken came first cause the egg has nothing to do with DNA

Actually, even the dinosaur eggs were pre-dated by softer eggs laid by the fishes, which were pre-dated by even other animals, reproducing by many varied methods.
As I said in the previous question, specifically regarding chicken eggs, the chicken embryo is formed before the egg surrounding it is created, so technically, the chicken came first.

Huh. That's actually pretty good.
I never thought of it that way. From my knowledge, chickens evolved from dinosaurs (or from the same ancestor as dinosaurs, anyway).
Of course, some people don't believe in evolution, so for them the question won't work that way.
Now if the dinosaur egg or the dinosaur came first.. that's a different question all together, isn't it? :)

Makes sense from a scientific standpoint as long as you subscribe to the theory that birds are related to dinosaurs. However, those who read the Bible will remember Genesis 1:20 (I think) And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." So.. if you believe in the Bible, it's the chicken.

The egg came first. The first "chicken" was a mutant egg of the chicken's evolutionary ancestor.

When people ask this question I always say the chicken or in this case dinosaur because something had to lay the egg.

the scientific answer is the egg. As egg laying creatures evolved this could only occur to the embryo within the egg. over evolutionary generations the first chicken finally evolved to be the one we know today.

To freddie: not chickens, that's for sure...
Yes, the egg came first. But here's some food for thought. "Which came first, the chicken, or the chicken egg?"
