He messed up his knee. No report yet, but he was getting an MRI test. He slid for a ball and his leg bent sideways and his knee buckled and gave out. I would guess that its an ACL or MCL injury and he is OUT.

They are not sure yet - He's having a scan tomorrow. It looks as if he's twisted his knee. He landed awkwardly after 1 minute of the game! - Not even tackled, he passed the ball then went down, twising his knee as he did so. The early suggestions are he's played his last match in this world cup

Michael Owen's World Cup is over after he was ruled out for the remainder of the tournament in Germany.
Owen could be out of action for up to five months after the England striker reportedly suffered cruciate ligament damage against Sweden.
The Football Association today confirmed the Newcastle player is on his way home from the England team's base in Germany.
Owen injured his right knee during the first minute of England's 2-2 draw against Sweden in Cologne and flew back to the team hotel in Baden-Baden ahead of an MRI scan this morning at the Max Grundig hospital at Buhlertal.
The 26-year-old missed the second half of last season with a metatarsal injury and Sky Sports reported this morning that he will now be out of action for a further five months.

no he didn't break his leg. I think it was a problem related to his muscle.I can't explain in English but it wasn't serious if you ask me.

by the look of his fall, i say he twisted his ankle pretty badly
