basically i'm making this punk zine, and i've pretty much done a lot of promotion and have gotten everything set up in that aspect of it, but my problem is that hardly anyone is submitting stuff for it, so it's pretty much empty except for the reviews and articles that i've done for it. i know how to contact the bands and i've got someone covering the photography, but otherwise everyone just keeps telling me how excited they are about it coming out - and no one is adding to it.
how do i get people to contribute to the zine? i've posted in a bunch of places and told a lot of people, but no one seems to be paying attention or posting...
also, what kinds of things should i include in my zine? i've got band/music/movie interviews, comics, etc... should i include something else?

I have a friend that did a fanzine for The Damned for years and maybe you should ask him! Check out: www.ndnrecords.com

Maybe some contests and such, win a cd from this band.. from that band, people are always looking to win stuff lol. That will draw people in along with getting your zine out there also to the public. I am interested in reading it, punk is kind of my weakness! Good luck with everything hope it all comes together.
