I don't think they are directly related. The family name Begay is a common one in Navajo culture. Navajo artist Harrison Begay was born in White Cone, AZ in 1917 and called also Haskay Yah Ne Yah. His mother was Zonnie Tachinie of the Red Forehead Clan and his father was Black Rock Begay of the Zuni Deer Clan. Frances was born in the Dilcon area and had a sister who married Charles Singer and another who married David Lester. Her husband Russell had a brief biography online that listed some famous relatives but Harrison was not on the list. You can ask her yourself with an email at her website.
