What's the best way to clear out my singing voice? I sing, though somewhat often, my voice isn't as clear as it should be. I have to clear my throat because it's raspy, and I can't do as many things as I want or need to because of it being raspy. Is there anything I can drink or do to clear out my voice without making it worse or damaging it?

It is raspy because you already HAVE damaged it. I suggest you go to an ear nose and throat specialist and that you hire a good vocal coach (drop the one you've got if you have one!). Nothing that you eat or drink ever touches the vocal folds.

Well you could try licorice lozenges they are usually available at health food stores. You may have to get them special ordered though. If you can't find those perhaps Licorice Tea/Sticks or even candy made from REAL Licorice(Panda Brand). It's suppose to help coat the membranes of the throat. They used to make some just for singers but I haven't seen any in a long time.
